Registration is limited - once the clubs are full registration will be closed.  Very Important students who attend the informational meeting Monday Sept 25th. will have priority.  Registrations will be accepted starting Tues Sept 26, after school.

Horner Jr High Robotics Club


Article I – Name and Purpose

  • Robotics Club
  • Our purpose is to learn design and building of robots.  We will use Lego NXT and VEX systems.

Article II – Membership

  • This is an open club, both 7th and 8th grade students
  • Our membership is limited by supplies and space

Article III – Club Organization

  • Club Advisor – Teacher
  • Two Divisions
    • NXT/Mindstorms – beginning, no experience necessary,
    • VEX/RobotC – Competitive team working with IHS
  • Club President - Each club will have a President their responsibility will be to work with the advisor in running the weekly meetings
  • Team Leaders – each team will have one contact person
  • Equipment Person – each team will appoint 1 person to be responsible for checking out and returning of their equipment.

Article IV – Meetings

  • Meetings will be held afterschool – time is needed to actually build the robots

Article V – Activities

  • We will have various challenges for out robots to accomplish.
  • We will have various demonstrations for the student body of what our robots can do.
  • We will post images, still and video of what we accomplish on our club web site.
