Students Stay Healthy & Manage Stress
During this difficult time of quarantine, it is important to set a routine around your daily activities. Make sure you are eating at least three meals a day, sleeping at least 8 hours and getting some physical activity at home. This will help keep you positive and minimize any stress you may be feeling. In addition, here is a list of coping strategies to help you pass the day in a healthy way.
Ways to Feel Better
- Get to a quiet room and read a good book.
- Listen to your favorite music.
- Pray, meditate, or focus on a relaxing place.
- Listen to or watch something funny.
- Run in place for 5 minutes.
- Call a friend.
- Talk to a parent or other adult who understands and listens.
- Write or draw in a journal.
- Sing aloud or play an instrument.
- Dance to your favorite music.
- Be positive and tell yourself things will get better.
- Talk about your feelings
- Tell someone you love him or her.
- Play with your pet.
- Spread kindness and send a text to someone and tell them why you appreciate them.
- Help your parents around the house by doing a chore without being asked.
